Advocacy - tell us what you need
As a patient, you have the right to ask questions and let us know what you need. We're here to help, remember to:
speak up if you have questions or concerns or if something does not seem quite right.
tell staff if you think you are about to receive the wrong medication or have the wrong test, or if you think you have been mixed up with another patient.
let a staff member know if you are in pain. Ask about your options for pain relief.
ask someone you trust to be with you when having important discussions with staff about your care and treatment, to advocate for your interests and to be part of your healthcare team.
