St Vincent’s Health Australia strives for zero harm across our organisation.
We aim to provide an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and safe. Because of our commitment to integrity and justice we expect ethical standards of behaviour, honesty, and transparency in everything we do.
Unacceptable, unethical, and illegal behaviour affects our patients, residents, staff, and organisation. We encourage our employees and others who partner with us to speak up about issues or conduct that concerns them.
This could be anything that undermines our Mission and Values; or is fraudulent, corrupt, illegal or unethical.
That’s why St Vincent’s Health Australia has established the Faircall Hotline. FairCall is a secure, independently monitored, and dedicated service for the anonymous reporting of concerns involving St Vincent’s Health and related to any suspected form of theft, financial crime, fraud or unethical behaviour.
Who can use Faircall?
This service is available to any person who is, or has been a director, employee, secondee, contractor, consultant, supplier, service provider (or their employee or subcontractor), volunteer, licensee (or its authorised representative or their employee), broker or auditor of, or worked with, St Vincent’s Health Australia.
Relatives or dependents of these individuals (or of their spouse) are also eligible to raise concerns through this channel. We encourage certain third parties, such as suppliers or service providers, to report concerns they may have seen, heard or experienced in their interactions with St Vincent’s. conduct of these third parties.
SVHA Whistleblower Policy
Sometimes people who raise concerns around bad behaviour may worry about being identified, or of other repercussions. That’s why St Vincent’s Health has a comprehensive Whistleblower Policy designed to encourage and support people to make a report, so they know it is safe.
The law and the St Vincent’s Health Whistleblower Policy provide protections to people who make a report, including the right to anonymity and the right not to suffer any disadvantage as a result.
